Design Force, Inc. Refreshes Peanuts Global Packaging Program

Design Force, Inc. proudly announces that the design consultancy was engaged by Peanuts Worldwide to create a fresh, new look for the “core” Peanuts global packaging program. The objective for the refresh initiative was to contemporize the package design system while paying homage to the origins of the Peanuts brand: the beloved comic strips created by Charles Schulz.

Ted Mininni, President/Creative Director of Design Force, Inc., offered his thoughts on the prestigious undertaking: “Having read many of the paperback comic books as a child, the Peanuts brand has always been dear to me. Drawing on that experience, and the popularity of the brand throughout my lifetime, I wanted to be sure that our solution for the package design system captured the essence of the Peanuts comic strips through iconic visual elements. Three primary design assets – the zig-zag graphic from Charlie Brown’s sweater, a distressed halftone texture, and a pattern made from the comic strips themselves – work cohesively to establish a visual aesthetic that will resonate with consumers on a global scale.”

The “core” Peanuts global packaging program needed to accommodate “everyday” and holiday-themed licensed products for the four main holidays – Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas.
