Peanuts Worldwide engaged our design team to establish a new trend theme and create the design elements and style guide for a Christmas-themed licensing program featuring the PEANUTS characters, which we’ve named Farmhouse Christmas.
Our trend research led us to the Farmhouse Christmas theme, which focuses heavily on stylized signage and messaging in the spirit of the Christmas holiday. Our solutions for the licensing program’s graphics and patterns incorporate painted, weathered wood panels, striped ribbon, buffalo and tartan plaids, and seasonal phrases in a combination of flamboyant scripts, traditional serifs, block sans serifs and hand-drawn fonts.
Design elements feature Christmas iconography and PEANUTS character artwork in Christmas and winter scenes selected from the brand’s archives. And the entire licensing program leverages a sophisticated seasonal color palette of muted red and green, warm and cool neutrals and a deep charcoal grey and white.
