Star Trek Universe
CBS Consumer Products, now owned by ViacomCBS, engaged us to develop the licensing program style guide for Star Trek Universe, an all-encompassing program for the entire Star Trek TV franchise. The initial launch of the licensing program featured the most adored and abhorred characters from Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Before beginning design development, we created 67 vector illustrations that accurately capture each character’s likeness, then created badge designs, pattern designs and a series of iconography that reflect the storylines, visual attributes and design sensibilities of each series.
Based on the success of Star Trek Universe with licensee partners and the need for new art assets to dive deeper into the Star Trek franchise, ViacomCBS Consumer Products partnered with us to expand the Star Trek Universe licensing program style guide to include design assets to support the Star Trek: Voyager series. We developed 10 new vector illustrations depicting key characters from the series, then created dedicated badge designs, pattern designs and iconography. The Star Trek Universe licensing program style guide was developed with an overarching design aesthetic that will allow it to accommodate expansion to include art assets for additional Star Trek series as interest among licensee partners continues to grow.
