The Twilight Zone
We were asked by ViacomCBS Consumer Products to develop illustrations of the “monsters” of The Twilight Zone as the property’s licensing program’s key visual assets for licensee partners to work with in the development of consumer products.
Episodes of The Twilight Zone were vetted to uncover and identify the most iconic creatures, aliens and other weird entities to ensure that they would be the most recognizable to fans of the hit TV show. Twelve different characters – each from a different classic episode – were selected to be included in the licensing program.
Vector illustrations were then illustrated by Design Force, Inc. president, Ted Mininni in one of his most popular styles. The high-contrast, woodcut-inspired illustration style incorporates a hit of hot color within the primary highlight of each illustration while leveraging a palette of grey values to reflect the aesthetic of black and white TV from the 1950s and 1960s.
